This is fascinating :D Do you use a stylus for drawing and did it take long to learn how to use it as opposed to sketching by hand? And on another project I'd love to see how the red shapes are filled in with the grey in such a detailed way - the lines around her throat, for example.
Thanks for the 'behind the scenes' look :D

I don't have a stylus, though I'm thinking about getting one. I use a mouse, which is annoying because I constantly have to adjust the opacity of my lines, and use the smudge tool to soften my lines up.

I don't know when/if I'll take the time to show my process in a more detailed way, but here's the tutorials I used to teach myself:

Line Drawing

Coloring

I'm even more impressed. I couldn't draw well with the mouse and while the trackball is wonderful for my wrist it makes it almost impossible to draw.

I'll check out the tutorials though, thank you :D

Thanks for the step by step tutorial. Did you use the full-feature (really really expensive) Photoshop, or Photoshop Elements 10?

I used PS Elements 10 with third party downloads that give it certain features of the full version - like the pen tool. ^_^
