Darken Rahl Chapter Fic Poll
I'm about halfway through my Big Bang fic "Castle in the Air" to be released September 4, 2010 when the challenge is over (view summary). (Incidentally, I have already surpassed the minimum word count of 15k.)
This means I'm going to start fiddling with my next Darken fic, to be released as it it written. I have two in planning stages, but I'm not sure that I'll get to do both of them before my next term of grad school starts eating my brain.
So, I'm leaving it up to you guys who have read my fics to choose which one you definitely want to see this summer. I still might be able to do both, but I'd like to do the one you guys are looking forward to first.
"The Cruelty of Happiness" : AU, in "Unbroken" Jennsen is never captured and the Boxes of Orden are never seperated. Darken Rahl travels to Stowcroft himself and brings Cara back to the People's Palace, Richard and Kahlan have a daughter who is raised in the world controlled by Orden. An exploration of what lies beneath. Rahl/Cara, Richard/Kahlan, Rahl Jr./Kahlan Jr. 5k to 15k.
"Son of Blood" : (Working title) Sequel to "Blood from a Stone." Darken Rahl has an empire to reclaim. Kahlan Amnell has a rule of law to restore. Will they work together, or tear the New World apart? Friends, enemies, and unclear prophecies. Rahl/Cara, Richard/Kahlan, Zedd/?
"Should the Mother Confessor betray the son of blood, the Midlands will fall, all magic erased."
