Why LJ, why?

Sep 19, 2011 13:52

And I just spent an hour and a half adding 12 links to my Master List of Fanworks sticky post at the top of my journal.

And LJ didn't save my changes.

So. If you use my sticky post, be aware there's like 12 things not on it. I hate everything.

!sad pris is sad, !lj fail

I've been meaning to ask if the editing problem was fixed yet - apparently it isn't.

I need to edit some of my chapters and add links, but have been scared to do it - some people are actually losing portions of their original entries when they go in to edit under an lj cut.

Most folks have given up complaining over at ljreleases, which is too bad. I think a lot of users are just giving up. The staff has refused to respond to any complaints since September 2nd.

Despite that, My advice is to complain and keep complaining - over at ljrelease and ljnews. If nothing else, you can let off a little steam about this idiocy they've inflicted on us. It's been 1 month now since the update, and most of the problems have NOT been fixed.

Lj's arrogance about this entire issue is going to come back and bite them in the a** because if you can't post or edit what's the point of staying? People are leaving now, and it's only going to get worse.

(End of my little rant @_@)

This just got posted at lj_release - first response in more than 2 weeks:

We just wanted to let you know that we haven't forgotten about the issues with the Rich Text Editor, and it is still being worked on. We don't have any bug fixes to announce today, but we do have a release planned for next week which will resolve many of the remaining issues with the Rich Text Editor. Thank you for your continued patience, and watch for a post next week with further details.

Yeah I'm pretty annoyed by not being able to change my old posts too. I can edit simple stuff using the html editor, but my long index post lists are just too tedious to do with the html editor, so I'm waiting for the rich text editor to be fixed.
