Loved this. Part of me feels Lincoln is such a great character because is often overlooked and dimissed so easily, as a thug with simplistic thinking. I'm sure he realizes that too,the way he does in your lovely fic. Thanks so much for sharing, this was awesome to wake up to.

This is very nice -- it's elegiac without being too ephemeral. It can be hard to write poetically about a character who is fundamentally as prose as Lincoln, and you've done a lovely job of it.

Yes, I sometimes struggle with that when writing Lincoln. I'm glad you thought it worked!

Stop it you with this. It's too early to be tearing up. Despite my feelings regarding the writing of his character this season, he does deserve happiness. Lots of it.

I like that he will fall back into his old role but this time it's more by choice and he'll be better equipped.

Favorite line:

Aw, thanks hon! I hate how they've written him this season, too. Linc has never been my favorite character, but he is a crucial one, and I want to see him treated right.
