Work has been kicking my ass this week. But on the upside: OT pay, paid for dinner on Monday (when I was here until 9 pm), and they felt bad they were stressing me out so much, so they gave me a $25 Am. Express gift card! ^___^ Isn't that awesome of them ( Read more... )

...I won't read the article, due to the fact that my jaw is inflamed, and any extra grinding of teeth will damage me. That being said, I read the story about the article. What do they mean, they have to look over their policies?? Plus, he's written OTHER racist articles. The kid's delusional. The Editor should step down. WTF. /rant

I rechecked the Asian Week site and the same apology is up. They don't have anything about the editorial process except "In the future, we will take extra steps to ensure that while diversity of opinion remains a constant pillar in AsianWeek editorial policy, promotion of hate speech of any kind will not and should not ever be tolerated." Pretty damn vague.

I spent the gift card on books and victorian fairy painting postcards. ^__^

If I had the energy to read it, I would. Then again, I'd probably find it utterly hilarious and might almost agree with the author. Terrible thing to say, yes, but trust me on this one. Some of my people get on my LAST nerve.
