First, I'd like to say that McCain gave one of the classiest concession speeches ever. If he had run his campaign that way, I think it would have been a much tighter race.

I have to agree with you Jen - one of the most influential things about Barack Obama being President means there will be children who grow up in America who think there is nothing strange about a minority president. And think what it will do for those children - it will let them know that maybe, someday, they too can be president, no matter their race or religion or gender or sexual orientation. We really proved that being president has to do with a love of country, intelligence and a plan to do the best you can to make America a better place - not the color of your skin.

Nicely said about McCain's speech. I actually held some respect for him, for the first time.
