Even if characterization doesn't matter much in PWPs, I think you did a splendid job. It's definitely more than enough to know that this is not Kakashi simply by name, and it connects the reader to him, I think. Well done!

It had to be a dream because I find it impossible to write just PWP, so something plotty or angsty had to sneak in at the end to semi-redeem it.

Also, I looked at that doujinshi and now I really, really wish I was fluent in Japanese already because I want to read it!!! T.T

Well, I'm flattered that it's good enough to reread! And I'm really impressed that you can translate things. I'm only moderately good at Japanese and I'm floundering for a structured way to study now that I'm out of college so I'm not getting any better at the moment.

And thanks for the tip about tense consistency. It's something I've started noticing in a few other fics I've written, so I suspect it's probably a weakness of mine.

And congrats on the excellent job with "Intention". What arc or movie is it based on? I haven't found a good place to read or watch the Naruto canon so my knowledge is really incomplete.
