[Open post] No, I'm not lovesick...

Since Chinese New Year, Wolfram has been virtually invisible at the Mansion. He's been carefully avoiding the more trafficked arras of the Mansion, aside from the kitchen and the stables. He's been riding the crude trails in the forest during the better weather, and roving the hallways when the weather is snowy. There is a reason for this, but it's ( Read more... )

Falkor tends to seek interaction - with the winter's lingering cold, he finds that not so many people are taking time outside, and frankly, he doesn't blame them.

That's probably why there's a luckdragon in the window, staring in, somewhat.

He might be curiously trying to see what Wolfram is reading.

Dragons are a rare and endangered species in Wolfram's world, but he's no stranger to them. Even so, he's bit startled to see the creature peering at him and he quickly closes the book, prior to hiding it somewhat ashamedly and going to the window to open it. "Good day, my good...dragon," he says. They might not talk in his world, but that isn't to say they might not speak here...

"Hullo," Falkor says, pleased that he hasn't scared the young man away. "Did I startle you?"

"Scare me? Hardly. I am a battle-hardened warrior and it would be the depth of shame for me to be frightened," he replies. "But I would say that your presence surprised me."

They've never met, but there she is nonetheless, as requested! Genevieve is sitting nearby, reading something titled Never a Scoundrel, which she picked both because of the cover and the title.

Pssst, this thing is Captcha-enabled, and it's kind of irritating... halp?

He's currently nose-deep in a spicy-looking novel, and finding the depiction of demons to be rather brain-breaking. At length, he tires of the sauciness and tosses it aside, leaning back in his chair.

Sorry about the CAPTCHA: this journal got hit by spambots and the security I added got a bit tight. It should be fixed now...

Genevieve is still reading, though she's now getting to a slightly embarrassing scene, and has to put down the book to make sure no-one is staring at her. Hm.

No worries - I get why you activated it - I thought it might have been more LJ strangeness. *hugs*

Someone whom Wolfram should have met a while back, in fact. "-- Sophie? Sophie!"

Sugar is looking for her daughter, and looking fairly unhappy.

The kid is late for dinner. Again.

Wolfram, hearing the woman calling, sets the book aside and rises. "She isn't here, if you are looking for her," he says. "May I help you, my good woman?"

The tone is worthy of a nobleman much older, but the young man doesn't seem to be more than sixteen or seventeen years old.

"If you know where she is, I suggest you inform me now," Sugar says, a bit quickly, and with all the hallmarks of a worried parent who forgoes courtesies.

"I asked if I could help you, I did not say that I knew where she was," he replies stiffly. "What does she look like?" he asks.

Hisoka comes into the library to browse and spots Wolfram reading in the corner. "Hello, Prince Wolfram." He speaks quietly in case Wolfram really doesn't want to be disturbed.

{{Want to tie off the Chinese New Year's thread and just fast-forward to here? Hisoka was wondering how Wolfie was surviving his Yuuri-less state, anyway. :D}}

Wolfram glances up from his book, which, on closer examination, proves to be a romance novel of the urban fantasy variety. "Good day, Master Kurosaki," he says.

Sounds like a plan!

"Contemporary fantasy?--vampire dectectives and bounty-hunter travel agents?" Hisoka wonders.

"More like demons of a variety that I am not accustomed to, working as dancers in what is called a gentleman's club, but I'm not certain how one can be a gentleman in a place like that," he says, glaring at the book.

Armand has been avoiding the library, but he hasn't liked the books Margot picked out for him to read, so he's hoping to be able to make a quick visit and then flee back to his room with something to read in hand. He's a bit distracted from his hunt by the handsome young blond man. It's quite a surprise, and he realizes he's staring.

"My apologies," he finally says, tearing his eyes away. "I--" He what? One doesn't tell a random man you think he's beautiful, especially when it's not like that. He's just sensitive to beauty.

[Albert is still talking to him in the other place. I was thinking of Duck, because she likes everyone. Would you like any of his greeters back?]

Wolfram glances up from his book. "There's no need to apologize: you haven't done anything rude or improper," he says. Not yet, anyway, he semi-implies. He's noticed the young man noticing him, and while he's used to it, the notion is a bit off-putting. He's practically married, after all...

Hmm! This should do for now.

Armand blushes a little when he realizes he's been caught out a little. "I don't meet people like you often," he says. "Are you enjoying the library too?" If that isn't stupid question, Armand doesn't know what is, but it's all he can think of until he gets his composure back.

"I have been taking my ease here quite often," he says, putting the book aside carefully, trying to avoid exposing the cover. "The collection here is...quite eclectic." He's not about to let on what he's been reading.
