Cameron looked up at the voice and then closed her book to shove it onto the coffee table. She pushed out of the chair with a small grunt. The muscles in her legs were sore from being on her feet just about the entirety of her shift that day. As soon as she got home, she'd discarded the scrubs in favour of some comfortable track pants, t-shirt and warm socks. She'd been in her favourite chair reading ever since. She padded out into the hall and met Logan with a smile. "Well, this is a pleasant surprise," she said.
Logan's mouth curled into a smirk as he looked at her. He didn't mind the track pants, t-shirt, or socks. Allison looked good to him no matter what. He pointed a finger at the paint in his hair. "Had to do a favour for Marie. Couldn't be here and not see ya."
Cameron analysed the paint splatters and put two and two together. "Wow, they're getting in early," she laughed. "I'd probably be too scared the child would trick me and come out the opposite sex. Can't say I'm complaining about the visit, though. Even if I have to share you with a pink paint brush."
He wrapped his arms around her small frame and dipped his head to brush a kiss against her lips. "She wanted it to be a surprise for her doctor. And I wanted to be a surprise for you." He groaned at his own words, and chuckled as he gave a roll of his eyes. "I missed you, darlin'."
