It's quite different from most stage musicals. Based on the poems of T.S. Elliot, Cats is a musical about the different types of cat there are out there, like the Rum Tum Tugger or the magical Mr. Mestofelles.
If you're in the stalls, be prepared, in some productions of it, the actors will interact through the crowd. Not sure if that's still happening in the West End productions of it.
The most famous tune is "Memories" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJHzoAmA8Ec - but not all the songs are slow and solemn like Memories, most of them are pacy and upbeat.
It is quite a fun show, while I've yet to see it myself, I do have the soundtrack.
XDDD I forget who wears glasses so err... SHE WEARS THEM NO LONGER O_OV I didn't really have reference pict0rs as my photos on my camera were blurry and couldn't see her glasses. But dammit, she looks awesome with or without them. 8D
