Swan Lake goodies!

Hi everyone! I just wanted to share two songs I found recently - one is based on the story of Swan Lake (goth rock style! XD) and the other is a really beautiful and haunting vocal version of the main theme. I've found myself listening and re-listening to both of them a lot, so I thought I'd post them here too. I hope you enjoy them! ^_^

Yay! I'm really happy you liked the songs (and are enjoying these kinds of posts); thanks so much for sharing your thoughts! :) The first one is so delicate and ghostly, isn't it?

It's strange how many modern/pop songs use the Swan Lake theme too! I think there are actually a lot out there. Goes to show how popular it is, I suppose. One of my favourite bands, Blackmore's Night, have a song that uses the ballet's main theme in its chorus too, but I didn't include it above because it only uses the melody, rather than having anything to do with the Swan Lake story in any way.

And I did click on your link! XD The song...really isn't my kind of thing either, lol. But it was still an interesting find! Thanks!

The first one is really cool, very beautiful, and creepy in certain parts. XD The second one, well heavy-metal opera isn't my thing, but the concept is interesting. :3

Yeah, I had a feeling that the second one would divide everyone's opinion. XD But I'm very happy you enjoyed the first one! I find it so sad and haunting (and yes, creepy too, but in a very good way ^_~).
