If it is correct, as shown in the bio-pic on Lifetime, that JKR wrote the last chapter of the Harry Potter series first, then that means she intended Severus Snape to be the hero right from the beginning and wrote the entire series around his character, "....probably the bravest man I ever knew," as stated by Harry Potter himself.

Well, the final edits are about done. Alan Rickman has announced he's finished his last voice overs and has spoken as Professor Severus Snape for the last time. The beautiful posters are being released one after the other. And, the day draws nearer for the last of the Harry Potter movies.
