Well, I may have myasthenia gravis, which would totally explain why I'm so damned weak and TIRED ALL THE TIME. I had blood drawn today and have an MRI scheduled for Friday at 6:45am (yeah, I know.) It's a scary disease, but I keep hearing "it's treatable"; so I am trying to be upbeat. Problem: I'm not naturally upbeat. At all. Ever. About anything

Otherwise, I'm afraid I'm kind of... I don't know. I'm not sure whether to be glad that it would explain my life the last few years or be scared for the future. Nothing to do but wait and see.
Wish I had had onion rings for lunch.

Also, I totally laughed at your Spinal Tap reference. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help cheer you up.

Just hearing that is great for cheering. :>
You know, I have been embarrassed to tell you: but i've been too tired (and now too broke) to get the glass/plexi redone, so I just hung it up the way it is for now. i figure i'll enjoy it this way til i get my shit together. i can look at it from my (red) sofa, and I can't even see the break from this angle. :> It makes me happy.

....what's Stonehenge, btw? (apart from the obvious stone structure dating back to 2200 BC)

The Stonehenge thing is from the movie Spinal Tap. Just a silly reference.

At the very least, though, you know what was causing your scary blurred vision and persistant tiredness. Did you talk to your doctors about working with and around the diabetes so that your new myasthenia treatment doesn't make your losing weight for diabetes more difficult? I'm sure you did, but what did they say? Is there no other alternative treatment to steroids?
I didn't get the Spinal Tap/Stonehence references either. Is this from the faux documentary, This is Spinal Tap? I still need to see that...

Let us know what your tests turn up, ok?

The neurologist called the opthamologist (who is my uncle) and privately said he's 99% sure that I have it but needs the blood work and MRI to be 100% sure. So I've already resigned myself to a life of steroids, but there is already talk of a thymectomy, which would fix some stuff but also could cause other stuff.
It's a waiting game right now; you know how it is.
