You have a midwife and an OB/GYN? I am so confused.

I am going to Physicians and Midwives. I get the best of both worlds for one price. I am the princess after all can you imagine me settling. Their office is across the street from the old apartment. I picked them when we lived there and I stuck with them because they are the only practice that has both in NOVA. I will be delivered by the midwife unless something medically requires the doctor to step in. That is what happens with most people with midwives but they have no way of knowing their doctor that steps in.

Are you planning to have a midwife deliver your baby? If so, you need to read the book: Midwives. It will open your eyes to lots of things. Just a suggestion. Glad to hear the baby is doing well

I have read that book, it was a while ago though. I am having my baby in the hospital with a midwife delivering but a doctor as back up. (see my reply to DnT)

Glad to hear that! I have a hippie cousin who lives in Arizona. She has had all babies at home and done an underwater birth with a midwife.
