Aw! Baby is safe with Mama while sharks swim, minding their own business, in the background. Rowan is off to a good start, I think.

Happy mother's day! Your first!

Oh! Thanks, my dear. You always put things so beautifully.

Yes, the sharks did a better job of minding their own business than the Oklahomans, who all had to gawp at my six square inches of exposed breast before scuttling on their way. Not that I was at all deterred from nursing in public. Viva la Boob!

What a beautiful picture! I think moms nursing in public is a beautiful thing and don't understand why people flip out about it. this is christmas card worthy.

Thanks! Maybe I'll actually get Solstice cards out this year. I have a stack from last winter that I delayed and delayed sending out and then gave up on after Rowan was born on Jan. 5th.

Thanks ever so! I've found in my short experience that most people don't flip out, but they do tend to stare--at first, and then look away either in embarrassment or silent disapproval. Most people in pdx are cool, though. I even get some warm smiles.

I love that picture. Every living thing in it seems so peaceful! It looks like a nice atmosphere for nursing actually...the wavering watery dimness, the graceful sea creatures...like you are under the sea!

It *was* nice, very dreamy and sort of surreal.
