knitting update

Think I had given up on knitting? Hardly! I finished my cabled tote a couple weekends back, and have been using and loving it ever since. I enjoyed the project process and product so much that I've decided to make a bunch of them in different colors as Christmas presents. I can't wait to experiment with all the different cable patterns. :D ( Read more... )

I love your purses, esp the green one! Those cable patterns are great. Did you make them up yourself to use a pattern? Your really have inspired me to make one for myself but who knows when I will get the time.

Thanks! As to the cable patterns: half-and-half. I took a look at books like Vogue Knitting and others, but it's amazing what you can come up with with a little graph paper! If anyone's interested, I can post my patterns. 40-45 stitches makes a good width with this yarn and needle size.

Just was looking through your archives and wanted to compliment you on these lovely bags!! I've been thinking of tackling something similar (after all, they seem to be quite ubiquitous in all the stores!). I would love to see your pattern though (if you have time! :)!!
