Dear Internet:

Would it freakin' kill you to have a complete English translation of Wolfram's Parzival online somewhere?

Sadly, I can only find Book 5 for you: http://www.uidaho.edu/student_orgs/arthurian_legend/grail/fisher/texts/romance/parzival.htm

But just in case you ever need it, here's an English translation of The Song of Roland: http://wordsend.org/rht/#none

I made an effort (which failed) to track one down, but just kept running across the medieval german version.

however, during the search, I found something unrelated and weird: In Parentheses has something labeled as "medieval Canadian".

I'm afraid to ask.

It's a Stephen Leacock parody of medieval texts.

Pretty good, if you like Leacock.

Your best bet is carefully coming up with searches for Amazon's search inside this book that will get you every page. schlafmanko has spoken highly of that tactic in the past.

If I wanted to work at it, I could just walk down two flights and get my paperback copy out of the basement.

Ahh, of course. Well then, you have a copy for reading and the Amazon search is even more useful. (Where in Parzival does the word Grail appear? What about Templar?, etc.)

I tried to find it several months ago, but my efforts were in vain. If only my Middle German were better. . .
