While it's sad when a monumental artist dies, their creations live on. Decades ago they were called "Disney's 9 Old Men" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disney's_Nine_Old_Men

Happily, documentaries and their teachings not only live on but are more accessible than ever. There are YouTube interviews with the Sherman Brothers, Frank and Ollie and others. Disney historians have preserved a lot and share it in video documentaries.
Sometimes being in "the information age" works to honor those worthy of being remembered.

While many production cels & backgrounds have been sold off, the "Disney Vault" archives key artwork, which has been invaluable when restoring old prints. "The Making Of" recent DVDs proudly shows the work behind the scenes to assure the fidelity of the colors by referring back to the original art.
