17 - Autumn

I think autumn is one of my least favorite seasons. It can't decide whether it wants to be warm or cold. Besides, all the leaves falling everywhere just gets in the way. Talk about a mess. I especially hate those small burrs that stick to your clothes. Ugh, what a pain. Even if winter is colder, at least it gives you the excuse to stay in the warm ( Read more... )

I don't know if autumn will be an enjoyable season for me because of the cold, but many others paint pictures with their colors and make it seem as though it's a nice season. Maybe it's best to enjoy the warm parts of fall.

Why aren't conversations here nice for you? I like having conversations with others at this school; they have so many interesting things to say.

... You obviously haven't spoken to many people here, have you? A majority of the people here have the linguistic abilities of toddlers, and most of them have even smaller attention spans.

Though if you don't believe me, I would suggest you speak with a person named Nester. You'll see what I mean.

Oh... maybe, if you look past that aspect, you can see that their stories are entertaining even though they're unable to tell it properly. The attention span part... maybe they're not talking about a topic that piques their interest.

Nester, hm? I've not met a Nester. I should like to talk to this person.

*Anshu. Jeff is having a laughing fit at your expense. Thanks for reminding him that there are still such ridiculously gullible people in the world.*

I'm sure you'll have... an interesting conversation with him.

Grade school things. You know, pranks, who's dating who... Those sorts of pathetic things that people only talk about when they don't have lives of their own. Maybe if there was actually a scandal worth mentioning at this school, I wouldn't mind. But it's all boring, worthless gossip.

Ohhhh. What juicy stories do you like instead?

Pepito. Jeff does not know you very well. So he is making this private just in case. princeangel September 11 2009, 23:36:34 UTC
I prefer the ones where the parties involved have something at stake. You know, secrets that could be used blackmail and whatnot. I'm particularly fond of political gossip that could ruin a person's career. Unfortunately, there isn't much of that at this school.

Forget fireplaces. This school needs a proper lava pit. I'm freezing my tail off over here!

L-lava pit? That's sort of...*delete delete*

A lava pit, hm? I can't say I've ever been near one close up. Of course I seen volcanoes from helicopter, but I suppose that's not the same. Then again, it's not really within human limits to be able to stand near such high temperatures for long periods of time.

That sounds like an interesting idea, actually - training around lava is definitely a good experience to have. Though, I wouldn't like to think of any of the less able students falling in and dying.

Such a shame, not having a fireplace! When students freeze their bums off outside, it's always nice to have a fireplace we can huddle close to. Granted it's always cold in Winters, but when winter season comes around the corner I agree it would be a useful addition.

I would suggest making a petition for the repairmen to install one, but I'm pretty sure it'd just turn into a fire hazard. I'm not too fond of the fake, electric ones, but that could possibly work.

That could work! I'm not too worried about fire hazards. A good, top notch fireplace should be a safe fireplace. We can always have buckets of water lying around just in case something does catch fire. And well, if not, like you said, there are always electric ones.

We never really had problems back at Snow Wood.

I'm more worried about the students rather than the fire itself. We've got quite a few crazies here. I wouldn't be surprised if we had some pyros too. I'm pretty sure that Lash girl is--*delete delete*
