Glargh I am so tired of hot flashes... Y'see, I had an ovarian cyst out many, many moons ago and the result is (as was predicted) a slightly earlier than ususal array of Instant Visitations to the Spontaneous Tropical Vacation events every lady gets a few tickets to in the tail end of their life.  How in the world does a person dress for winter,

Mom suffered terribly from hot flashes for years. Why do our hormones hate us so much? *sigh*

I know, right? I always have this love-hate relationship with my hormones, they're so handy but aaaarrrgh!

Ugh! I've never had a hot flash, and I'm kind of dreading when they come. A folding fan sounds like a brilliant solution, though! It's a fun accessory that is also very practical. In fact, I could have used one last week when I was in an overheated building in winter.

I'm accumulating all sorts as I come across them - two even have bright colors with sequins! I figure I might as well have some fun with it if I can. They're stashed in my glovebox, in my bag, by my computer... whenever this passes I'll have to be sure they get to another lady in the same scenario.
