I'm falling apart

I suddenly feel as if my warranty is running out on my body or something. I go to the dentist who tells me I'll likely need a crown on a tooth this year because it's cracking. Then my glasses break (thankfully I have my backup pair until I get them fixed). Tomorrow I go to a foot-doctor because I apparently now will need orthotic inserts in my ( Read more... )

Ever since I finally took the plunge and became a Cyberman I haven't had any trouble with that kind of thing... ;D

But seriously:
I have very bad eyesight without my glasses,
not very good teeth (but then I'm British - I gather it's one of the things we're known for over there. ;D)
and I did once quite badly injure my left knee, but I haven't had any trouble with it in a few years, so that might be an ex-defect.

And that's TMI for now... :D

I like the notion of an 'ex-defect'.

In the middle of the alien invasion, he told me, "We'll always have Paris." But the aliens had bombed it. Paris was no more. It had ceased to be. It had expired and gone to meet its maker. It was an ex-Paris.

Keep rowing Prim, it's a big boat we're in. Hoping all is well my Old friend ;-)

It's a VERY big boat indeed, thankfully there are a lot of oars available to make the journey more interesting, as well as occasional bouts of deck-chair-rearranging, shuffleboard and overladen lunch buffets.

There may be a partial comment from me as well. I'm on my phone and something odd happened.
My back comes and goes - and has been doing since I was a teen. Stupid genes.
But weird stuff happening to my vision - when I'm already short sighted enough, thank you very much - seems totally unfair. And what is it with hormones when you're in your 40s!? I've got spots again :(

There are times I seriously wish we could all just have the dose of hormones in the teens to get the growing up part and then be DONE with them, they're such a pain in the kabooshka (as my mom would say, whatever a kabooshka is).

They are. And I like the word kabooshka - though it does rather sound like the rail road car you'd put your granny in...
