Parade, both wonderful and weary

Our town's big 4th of July parade was held today on the 3rd this year and I ended up right at the front of our large and cheerful Tea Party entry holding one end of the big banner, great fun, lots of supportive people, flags, bouncy children, candy all over the road - but golly gee whillikers that's one loooong parade route. (((sb & pipdog))) Yes indeed, in fact I found them just after I'd desperately prayed for help because I was worn out. I got home and promptly took a nap which does wonders for restoring a person to a human state, though I'm not planning on taking any walks this afternoon. :-)

How nice that your misadventure gave someone the chance to do something good. (And I'm also glad that you didn't lose your car!) I think this sort of thing happens more than we know. People seem to only report the *bad* news. Thank you for reporting GOOD news! There really are a lot of niced and helpful people, and it's things like this that encourage us to be good too.
