It's something new I'm trying. A change of pace, really.

It's not bad, I don't think.

It's not bad, it's terrible. But it all has to start somewhere.

Perhaps you ought to try something besides a familiar story.

It's the one that's on my mind right now. It can't be helped. And this song likely won't ever see the light of day, anyway, so it doesn't matter much what I do with it.

You're- coming up with a new song?

[OoC: Playing her off as a fan, hope that's alright? Also, the lyrics just keep reminding me of 'Green finch' from Sweeney Todd.]

Sure, that's fine! primrosella March 28 2011, 02:00:02 UTC
I'm really only playing around with this one, at the moment. Do you like it?

You're coming up with a new song, and you're asking my opinion?

Of course! It's great. The music's wonderful, and the words are- [unfinished, but crapcrap can't say that] definitely coming along great!

My, how pretty! But such sad lyrics.

Well, the lyrics aren't set yet, fortunately. They may turn out to be quite happy, once I finally get them the way I want them. One never knows.

Oh, well I certainly hope so. But don't you plan out the lyrics beforehand?

I do sometimes. This time the music got into my head and wouldn't go away until I worked it out, but I still don't have the words for it yet. My songs usually go in pieces that way--either I have the words and write the tune to fit them, or I come up with the tune and keep it until the words are right.
