[Voice Post]

[The audio snaps on with a click, but there is a somewhat awkward pause before any speaking occurs; then, after some hesitant shuffling, Rosella clears her throat and begins.]Yes, well, er. I'm sure that several people have noticed by now that there's, um...that there seems to be a unicorn on the loose in the City. And, er, that's ( Read more... )

You want...maidens.

...W-why would a unicorn even care about that?

Well, it's...er, the traditional sort of thing, you see. Unicorns will only tolerate maidens, and they get rather...annoyed with people that aren't, um, chaste.

H-how do they even--No, I'm not sure I want to know how they figure who's...what.

So you need, uh--people.

[And insert an obvious awkward silence because...yeah, she has the qualifications.]

It's part of being a unicorn, you see. They're magical to begin with, and it's a sort of an...instinct, besides.

But I think if enough, er, maidens all try to surround him and calm him down, we might be able to get him to hold still long enough to catch him.

I think you mean virgins.

It's the same thing!

Boy maiden, really?

If there are boys that want to help, I'm certainly not going to refuse them.

I believe the terms we use nowadays are virgins or cherries. Maiden is so 18th Century.

Well, this is one instance where I don't mind being old-fashioned, then.

I think you should stick to the females for this one. The City may be different but I still get the feeling it won't arrive near a virgin boy.

wandbreaker December 24 2010, 00:36:44 UTC
Oh, it already has. I don't think it discriminates in regards to gender.

What a bold announcement, Rosella.

[Says the boy who kissed his butler yesterday.]

primrosella December 23 2010, 23:58:59 UTC
That's what it's doing, though. At least, I can't think of any other reason why it's attacking some people and not others.

misterblackbird December 24 2010, 00:03:08 UTC
Well, if that is the custom with unicorns, then it does make sense. You'd know better than I would, certainly.

primrosella December 24 2010, 00:08:06 UTC
It is, I'm afraid. And all the kissing that went on yesterday likely didn't help anything, either, considering.

Isn't boy maiden kind of an oxymoron?

Reply

audio ][ primrosella December 24 2010, 00:08:42 UTC
An...oxymoron? Pardon?
