Do you really mean to dress up for Hallowe'en?

Either I will or Riff will, certainly, if she wants to go. She may not remember the first time, after all. It's rather like the first time all over again. But it will be up to her, of course.

Generally whatever he gets himself involved in does end up being quite exciting. Even that ordeal with the cow was quite exciting.

Yes, you will--have you any ideas yet?

Good! I'll remember that, then.

...There was an ordeal with a cow? Ordinarily I'd be surprised, but on the other hand, this is Tamaki. Whatever did he get up to?

No, I'm afraid I haven't come up with a single good one yet. But I always have trouble with this sort of thing, and Sam's not around this year to come up with clever ideas for it, so it's rather slow going, unfortunately.

He made friends with a cow and was showing it around the square. I think he may have taken it onto the ark with him, when the floods threatened. As I understand it, that's all there was with 'Mrs Cow'.

I'm afraid all of my ideas come with concerns about what might come of such costumes. I don't know that I'll be any good at helping you either.

Oh, dear. That does sound like just the sort of thing he'd do, yes--something udderly ridiculous.

Concerns about turning into them, you mean? Then I suppose you must be thinking of monsters of some sort, hm?

I was rather hoping you wouldn't do that. I suppose I always set my hopes a little too high in that regard.

Yes, I am, but I'm not thinking of any monsters. I'd say that almost anything one can think of could turn into something far worse than one intends in the hands of the 'deities'.

I'm sorry. I just couldn't resist.

I suppose I could always dress up as a princess. Then even if that curse does come around, I wouldn't turn into anything that I'm not every other day of the year, anyway.

I suppose you could, but that isn't much of a costume. And I rather have the feeling that you'd prefer something a bit more unusual.

I could be an angel, too, since I've been one of those already. But I'd be a bit worried about all the powers that might come with it, which might cause more trouble than the costume is worth, really.

Precisely. I'm glad you understand the concerns I've been having with most every costume I've thought of.

You could always dress up as a cat, you know.

I suppose I could. I have been that more than once.

You could dress as a bird, then.

That might be all right, actually. I'd have to find a way of contriving wings, somehow, but other than that it wouldn't be very difficult at all. I think I'll keep that suggestion in mind, after all.

Then I shall make sure not to go as a cat, just in case. I shouldn't like to find myself chasing you all evening.

I would have wings, you know. I might be a bit displeased with you at the time, but it's not as though I couldn't keep away from you if I had to.

I suppose that is true. You've kept away from me before, if I remember right.
