Is there usually a big celebration for Halloween here?

I'm still new to this concept of different worlds, I'll admit. It's not exactly normal where I come from.

It was very strange for me, too, back when I first arrived here. But a friend of mine helped me get used to it when he pointed out that it really isn't so different than there being many different kingdoms on one continent, or several continents on one world. It's just that this is several worlds in one greater place.

It does make a bit more sense when you put it that way.

He was very wise about things like that. I miss him quite a bit, but it's been years since I last saw him.

He left.

Years ago, yes. His name was Luke and he was a very dear friend of mine.

People here really do just disappear suddenly, don't they.

I'm afraid so. My best friend--

But sometimes they have the chance to say goodbye, so...

It's never easy. Some people would prefer to just skip over that part.

I'd rather they did, though. It's worse to go to the Hall and discover them there without any warning, I think.

The Hall of the Missing? I've heard people mention it before, but I've never seen it myself. It really does keep track of everyone who's left?

It really does, yes. I've had quite a few friends turn up in there, and the pictures always show up as soon as they're gone.
