I think there's a plant Gaius uses- Perhaps the library has information on it?

Remember the curse day that showed us our futures? You told me that it didn't have to be true if I didn't let it happen. Well...that's what I'm doing now. Trying to find a way to keep it from happening.

When I go home, sometime in the future, a wizard named Mordack is going to kidnap my family and hold us for ransom until my brother undoes a spell he once cast on Mordack's brother. The problem is that Alexander doesn't know how to undo the spell, and if something isn't done, Mordack will feed us, one by one, to the cat. So my hope is that if, while I'm here, I can learn and memorize a spell that will help us escape from it, maybe I'll be able to remember and use it when I return home.

I remember that one. If this will aid you, then I'll do whatever you need to try and help.

Once Mordack is asleep, you plan to escape? Wouldn't he then try to find you again?

Well, if he's asleep, then at least the immediate danger is out of the way, and we'll have some time to find a good way to deal with him. I can think of a few ways to get rid of an evil wizard, anyway. Maybe Alexander can turn him into a cat, too.

I don't know what else I could do, if not this. It's not as though I could fight him.

Not all sorcerers are evil. But there are a few, like him, who are. And it's safer to find a way to stop them permanently, even if it means...having to...

Once he is asleep, his guard should be down. It isn't the most honourable way, but it is safest for you and your family.

He's going to threaten to feed my mother to a cat. And I didn't see my father in the vision, for all I know--

...Honor will not be my primary concern.

You will have a way to stop him, Rosella. Before you return. I promise you that.

I can't thank you enough, Merlin. I just hope this works.

[OOC: These two should totally get up to some magical shenanigans in the future. =D]

It will. And even if it doesn't, there are plenty of other things we can try, too.

[ooc: Most definitely. Merlin's loving hanging out with pro-magic folk!]

I'm open to anything if it means saving my family. The only part that worries me a bit is...well, whether or not I'll have the skill to actually do it.

[OOC: Care to plot via E-mail?]

But you've performed magic before, haven't you?

[ooc: Sure thing! Though I should warn you that I'll be heading to bed at some point soon. It's late/early here D=]

Er...well. Sort of, yes. But moving a rope and defeating a wizard aren't exactly comparable feats of magic.

[OOC: Actually, I'll be on my way out in a few minutes, too. How about I drop you a line tomorrow?]

Well, no. But it proves that you're capable of using magic. A lot of people can't even do that much.

[ooc: That's probably better, sure. My e-mail's retargeted[@]gmail.com]

That's true. I suppose I'll just have to practice and be very, very cautious. Tying myself up with a rope is relatively harmless. Making a mistake with more powerful magic could prove to be a great deal worse.

[OOC: Cool. I'll mail you sometime tomorrow, then!]

I think it may be best to build up to it, if you're not feeling confident. I just don't know anything about performing magic with a wand.

[ooc: Okay! <3]
