oh, darkness, I feel like letting go

  • I didn't end up going to the mall yesterday, go me! I did go to Frog and Toad and picked up a couple of pretty presents. I still have a few more little things to pick up. I'll wrap most of what I have tonight. Yes, I know it's two days before Christmas. I work well under pressure, or something. I have to be on a plane to Block Island at 10:00 ( Read more... )

Ick! You made me read the Toronto Sun! *bleaches self*

Still a lovely article, despite the usual insane ramblings of Sun reporters. And Paul Gross is truly the best. man. ever. Can he do NOTHING wrong?

I feel your procrastination pain - I often find myself at the final hour, realizing there's no way I can get everything done.

And confession time: despite the smug post I wrote last night - I have just realized I never bought anything for my husband OMG!

I dunno why he's always telling me I take him for granted...
geez.

The Toronto Sun looks an awful lot like the British Sun. I wonder, are they the same publisher?

He can't make music videos. Trust me on this one. I was going give you a YouTube link, but I can't bring myself to do that to you.

I dunno why he's always telling me I take him for granted...
geez.

It's okay, just show him this article.

The article - it's wonderful! I have saved the link, as well as sending it to my best friend. She's been struggling with her ADD partner who is in complete denial. He won't get treatment and she finds herself constantly nagging him. I can see all the trouble this is going to cause, but she is a controlling type and his inattention drives her batty.

So you may have just saved a marriage! Gold star to primrose!!

And the Toronto Sun, I don't think it's the same owners, but based on the same premise, for sure. Page 3 bimbo, etc. Except in Toronto of course, they don't show teh boobies like they do in the Brit papers.

There's a chain of 'em. They do especially well in redneck Alberta. Calgary Sun and Edmonton Sun. They wouldn't last a week in Vancouver, thank Bog.

OK, enough about me. Now you talk about me! (j/k)

Good luck with the shopping, working, cleaning, decorating, packing, and travelling. ;D Hope I didn't forget something.

I have no idea what a w00bie is, but if Paul is one and I am one, then it can't be too bad...can it????????? It sounds like one of those furry creatures in a George Lucas film.

Apparently the term is specific to the Harry Potter fandom, but it's high time it spread its wings and got more use elsewhere.

There are a few definitions, but I define it as someone who does something so incredibly sweet and does it so adorably that you want to hug the stuffing out of them and bake them cookies. In my experience, they tend to be men.

Stephen King is a good example (he usually gets my w00bie of the Year vote *g). So is the Dalai Lama and Sir Paul McCartney.

In our next installment of Fandom Slang 101, we'll discuss the varying definitions of the word "t00b". Paul is often one of these, too. Golf!Callum absolutely is, yessiree.
