As the news got worse, I really thought that her force of will alone would be enough to make a difference.

I did, too. I so wanted her to go to that concert. Her experience at the LA Con gave me a renewed sense of hope for her.

Being married to someone with an aggressive, chronic disease is not easy. But whenever I'd feel beaten down by this life I had, I found myself reading a post from her and a light would just shine out at me. She was a true inspiration and though I had less than a year as her friend, I will remember her forever.

She will be missed.

I have never known her, but i've heard of her. It's times like this that i feel so sad not to have known a person beforehand, how good they've been, how are they like in real life, it makes me sad that i'll never have the chance again. :(

I believe absolutely in an eternal soul, and I don't think this is your only chance. :) But I know what you mean. There are millions of people out there, and we only get to know a handful of them in our lifetime. Yet we know that each one of them is unique and important.

This is a beautiful post. I too kept thinking that her determination and strength alone could be more than enough to beat this. I was reading the offficial announcement a few minutes back and, god, there's no words. No words.

I didn't know her, but she sounds like she was an incredible person. I'm so sorry you lost your friend, and I will keep her family and friends in my thoughts.

*hugs you*

I have decided that none if my other Livejournal friends is allowed to get sick, die, have problems or be sad in any way shape or form. This is a good rule, I think.

(I'm praying for her family too :)
