Aishwarya... Thanks a lot. I'm feeling much better now. I have accepted the fact that things like this are bound to happen. We must all learn to live with death, I guess. It was just a huge shock when I first heard about it. Doctors did suspect it, but it was confirmed yesterday. And a whole lot of bad memories came flooding in. But I'll be fine.

Shikha... Heh heh! I wish this was fiction. My grandfather has contracted Cirrhosis of the Liver. It's a disease that really has no cure. It is fatal. My grandfather is reasonably well now, but the disease acts slowly and systematically. There is no proven medicine to stop or delay further progression or reduce complications, but there are a few medicines available only in the UK and USA which may be helpful. My grandfather has begun his dosage. We shall see how things work out. But we must be prepared for the worst.

Good god. I'm glad to hear you're okay and hope that it isn't too painful for your grandfather. I don't know what else to say.

If you need any medicines from here, let me know. I usually bring some medication for my dad's best friend, who also has a critical liver problem/ I'm not quite sure what- except he's sick because he drinks too much. You could always tell me the name and I could find out if it's available here.
