Lorne looks up from his desk, as always multitasking between several (neatened) stacks of books and paper.
"Oh, honey, don't I know it." He raises his eyebrows, giving his fellow staff member an emphatic look. "Come on in, have a seat. How can I help you today?"
Between the loverly school chef and his sentient cookies, Lorne would hardly know what to do with himself, it's such a treat.
"Some!" Yes, such a rare occasion, Lorne stands up and starts doing something about the vast - huge - expanse of space between them. "Hi! To what do I owe this distinct pleasure?"
The cookies are not actually sentient, just snickerdoodles. So it's only Some surprised to see the not-green Lorne. "Good job on the face paint, but why would you want to pass as human?" he asks, with a smile. "Totally over-rated, and they already think they run the Nexus.
"Oh, but I came to bribe you with cookies and ask you several very serious questions." The smile fades slightly, just slightly. Very serious indeed.
Oh, dangit. Sentient cookies would be so...50's Sci Fi. But snickerdoodles are perfectly fine, too. "Face paint? I wish!" The not being a Human thing is one big reason why Lorne's so happy to see Some, truth be told. Not that he doesn't love them, but...right now, he's more comfortable around all the non-human darlings at the school.
He comes up alongside Some and places a hand on his arm, gesturing at the many chairs available. Those in front of his desk are usually reserved for youngins who've been very naughty, but some people prefer those chairs to the ones right in front of you when you enter. Cozy corner versus business bonanza.
"Ask away, ebonilocks. I'm all ears. ...can I get you anything?"
