Here I am in Wagga visiting my Dad and little sister. Bloody hell, it is cold. I am freezing. Seriously, why do shows like Home and Away persist in portraying Aussie's as permanently wearing beach clothes. I am sat here in a massive jumper and my brother hasn't taken his hat off since I arrived...Oh well ( Read more... )

Firstly, Aussies have long felt that frustration in the portrayal of Australian weather in our soaps. Because it's such a large country, the climate obviously varies greatly across the land, but you're not going to find non-stop sunshine or warm weather anywhere along the south-eastern coast. You do have to remember that we're mid-winter, though, and this will change dramatically!

Second of all, Melbourne >>>>>> Sydney. For serious! Nobody in Sydney will ever tell you that (you could say that there's a slight rivalry..), but we down south know it to be true ;) And if you're looking for good food, look no further!
