"I wonder how Misaki is doing." Asakawa looked over at the tennis courts, but all he could see were the first years setting up the nets.

"Is Misaki all you think about?" Sato kicked a rock and it bounced off the side of the building.

"Sato..."

"You talk about him all the time." Sato's head was down, his hands stuffed in his pockets. "Do you wish you were there, with him?"

"I love lacrosse."

"That's good," Sato said.

Asakawa reached out to touch his sleeve, but Sato broke into a run. Asakawa stood looking after him, the crosse heavy on his shoulder, until it was late and he had to run too.

Suddenly, I need icons! Oh, Sato, just make your move before Tachiki gets there first.

"Where'd you get those?" Misaki inquires, leaning close to Asakawa to inspect his grass-stained knees, giving a loud "Hmmmm" for show.

Sato, sitting on the other locker room bench, wraps his grip tape a little harder, refusing to look up.

"I fell down!" Asakawa says loudly, right into Misaki's ear, and Misaki draws away with a scowl. Asakawa gives him a shove to help him on his way. "This is a sport."

"Besides," Tachiki speaks up, and everyone stops moving because Tachiki hasn't strung three words together yet, "You seem to have some grass stains on your knees and your palms, Misaki-kun."

Sato laughs so hard he cracks his head on the lockers when he leans back.

marks and i are discussing how Misaki will get jealous of the night training and talk Tachiki into training with him in an equally questionable manner, and refuse to divulge the details of their menu.

balls are involved.

"Tachiki is late again." Tsukada makes a fist around his stopwatch. "Asakawa, go find him, the rest of you, warm up ( ... )

aksalkdsfljkf. aaaaaw, Asakawa. You know this is going to be fertile grounds for misunderstanding.

----

"But...practice!" Asakawa pleads, looking from Misaki to Sato, who are still standing too close with a tension Asakawa doesn't understand. "We have to go now!"

"We'll be there in ten minutes," Sato says, almost in a growl.

Asakawa's eyes widen, and he flees the chemistry lab before they can say anything else.

When he stumbles across Tachiki slouching against the brick wall, Asakawa seizes two handfuls of Tachiki's uniform and shoves him up against it, swallowing all of Tachiki's questions, eyes squeezed tightly shut.

Oh my heart! I don't know whether I should ship Sato/Asakawa or Tachiki/Asakawa now.

haha, i'm all about the Sato/Asakawa, but a little practice with Tachiki won't hurt anybody...

It'll just give Tachiki something to torment Asakawa obliquely about in the locker room, because he knows full well that Sato and Misaki are in the locker room, not making out, but in fact yelling at each other about who let Asakawa get roughed up by the upperclassmen last week that they aren't supposed to know about, and they both know it was Misaki's fault, but he was pissed off that Asakawa isn't hanging out with him as much anymore, despite their spit-pact from the first day of tennis club, so he left Asakawa alone for classroom sweeping duty.

You're so right! I think I'm going to go to bed before I start writing Tachiki/Kaidoh.

Oh, Asakawa! Well you may ask that question. Also, I'm picturing the BL manga version of him getting "roughed up" by the upperclassmen.
