Drabble and Sims

Drabble for the hp100 "new canon" challenge: Class Struggle. Wizarding children and Muggle primary schools.

Finally the Makin' Magic Sims expansion is out for the Mac. We just installed it and I spent a very little time playing with it. I haven't got to cast any spells yet, though. It looks pretty cool. I have a wand and all.

I remembered that I ( Read more... )

...you didn't kill off all the orphaned Sims' parents yourself, did you? Or is it just backstory? *scared* *g*

Just backstory. *g* I'm not *that* evil. It's not like I created a sweatshop where slaves must toil making garden gnomes or like I started an cult that started recruiting members from my SO's families or anything.

I had an orphanage in my neighborhood, too! Mine was run by Jesus Christ and The Grinch. You've never seen two Sims less charmed by a child playing with a yo-yo. And *forget* trying to tickle them. I gave Jesus all the nice points, but few playful, and he was just a tired, joyless man.

My kids all had crazy names like Jerusalem, Jambalaya, and Ansible.

...The Sims has *changed.* Wow. I wish I hadn't lost my old copies (I stopped after House Party) so I could spend a hundred dollars and catch up. (on the other hand, perhaps it was a good thing after all. heh.)

Oh, there's all sorts of cool stuff. Pets and hot tubs where you can fool around (but not with your pets) and you can become a movie star and now a wizard too.

Oh, Lucius. As the twig is bent...

And your Sims Orphanarium sounds like Edward Gorey Playskool.

Hee! I think the "nobody is born evil" thing doesn't apply to Lucius.

It's posts like these that make me want to play Sims again.

John loves to play outdoors. He brings home a lot of stray animals, but is rarely allowed to keep them. Last year, he had the lead in the school production of Dr Dolittle. John's parents died in a mishap with a large primate.

Heehee!
