[He ignores the question. It was stupid of him to do that in the first place, no matter which hand it was. He goes back to rubbing at the words.]

[The second Al's eyes go back to the wall, he freezes. It just can't deal with this, he KNOWS she can't come back, even with Discedo's death revivals, and okay maybe he had held out some hope that somehow she could be here just a little while one last time--

He snaps out of it. He can't cry anyway, so it's easy to hide his depression.]

...No. It's not. I think that's the intention.

[He can't even hug Ed properly without hurting him. It feels like he's hit rock bottom. But Edward is here, and he's just as upset as Al is, and even if he can't bring his mother back he can still help his brother. Al grabs Ed by the shoulders, gently pushing him away from the wall.]
