Read as you can love! We're going to be here, as are the chapters! And comments are always love, but again, when you can!! Also, check it out, you managed to be first on this one! That helps balance it out, I imagine!

Glad you liked this chapter!

I'm glad White Wing and Viggo are starting to be friends; their self-consciousness/shyness was cute; thanks for the update!

The words came to a screeching halt, cutting off mid-phrase and leaving Viggo grappling to find them again.
A lovely description. You do get past it though, and grandly so.

Deciding it was hopeless to do anything more, and that White Wing had waited long enough while Far Rider had avoided reality.
I deeply enjoyed the details of the organized chaos of his room, and his own disorganized self.

He lowered himself to sit on the small table near the chaise, and wrapped his arms around his waist.
Ah, poor Viggo, such a sad, wounded man. How many times has he said 'sorry' already?

he studied the scattered objects around the room and surreptitiously watched the man attempting to tear himself away from his art.
Misses very little, yet his conclusions are sometimes worse than useless, too.

Also, the freedom of knowing that when it grew dull, he could run away. And that when he returned, he would be welcomed with open arms. How could he give up that-his freedom?

Organized chaos is it exactly. It wouldn't be Viggo's studio if it wasn't a bit bass ackwards! And he has an excuse for being more, er, 'disorganized' than usual--he hasn't brushed his hair, shaved, etc in days! ;)

To White Wing? *scratches head* Not sure he's said the exact word, but he's feeling pretty darn sorry about the whole situation, that's for sure! And yes, I think we all know that Viggo, while being good at hiding it, has some issues he needs to overcome.

Psychobabble: Freeman's enables the man to remain a child. Life: Home.
No, Freeman's just allows everyone to be who they want to, and need to be. *crosses arms over chest*

Can't work any more than locking Viggo up would work. Just another form of running.
Indeed.

Brilliant! Such a terrifying thing to say, to have sussed out.
Especially by someone half Viggo's age! *shakes head*

I had to go and count: 4 times to that point.

Ah that's what I meant. That was my poor way of mocking how things can be looked at in the wrong way, not over-thinking so much as bad thinking. Psychobabble is bad thinking. Life (experience, really) shows that Freeman's is home, even if home is a chance to run away or run back. Whatever's needed. Viggo's a bit on edge and not thinking clearly and I was just playing with the different interpretations of that statement if you are thinking well or badly. Well, I was trying to play with it. Dropped the ball, I did. (Hey, it's a play analogy.)

Horses eat a surprisingly varied diet, if you let them. Minty, grass-breath? *ponders*

This is a lovely chapter with Viggo and his wife giving baby steps to get to know each other. And all related to TJ was amazing, showing all Viggo's love for his horse. And it is true that the best way to get closer to somebody is to admire the same things the other loves. Thank you so much for sharing. Martha

Thank you! White Wing knew the only way to try and make things work was to get to know Viggo properly (and through the things he loves, exactly! Luckily, White Wing does have quite a bit in common with him!), and he was so worried that he'd blown that early on... but yes, Viggo started to thaw, which made it easier for him. Baby steps, indeed.

Thank you for reading and commenting, as ever! Your encouragement means a lot! ;-)

Aw, Viggo bringing his wife to meet TJ is the equivalent of bringing someone home to your parents! I'm glad White Wing pulled him out of his disorderly artist's hideaway and back into facing reality.

Haha! I guess it is kind of like that, in a way! Except Viggo's so damn proud of his horse, and it's not very often that people are SO EXCITED to show off their AMAZING parents! *winks*

Also, you'll have to ask White Wing about this--Viggo doesn't know for sure, but considering White Wing has lived his whole life with the tribe, chances are he knew Viggo's mother before she died

It's not disorderly! It's ordered chaos!

Thanks hon!
