It's really weird. I've watched the movie this week, so I keep picturing McConaughey instead of Dean...

This plot sounded like possibly the most boring I had ever heard, but I started reading because of a recommendation and strangely enough, it is actually incredibly compelling and I am on the edge of my seat wondering what the hell is going to happen and how awful the fallout will be. Oddly, the details of the planning are actually interesting, when I should be falling asleep over those bits; must be how you are using them to express dynamics between the characters. I loved all the snarkiness about the women planning identical weddings and how you have conveyed the pointlessness and triviality of all this, as opposed to the lowkey, but meaningful experience of Chuck and Becky, which definitely echoes my own views about these things. This is very, very good, I'm only surprised because the subject matter shouldn't allow that. Must be you then!
