I love Eames being protective and secretly having all of those good and upstanding impulses, and Ariadne thinking it's all bullshit and being totally unimpressed by him. Also "you made me a spare key." Eeeeeeeee.

Aw. I didn't really care for Ariadne/Eames until I read a piece irishcookie wrote and now this. Aw.

I am curious about the last bit though. You didn't specify but was she raped by this other guy at some point? Or just that he broke her heart? Not that it really matters but I was just curious. I do adore the chemistry between Ariadne and Eames in this piece. Intense but hidden underneath a layer of playfulness.

I think when I was writing it I was going for more of an emotionally abusive relationship, but I never specified because the details of that didn't seem as important as her reaction. I just figured people could infer and get what they wanted out of that part.

I loved this SO MUCH.

Now I want to know who that guy was.

I don't really know why Ariadne/Eames works so well, but I think part of the answer lies in this story.

Aww, thank you! I may write a prequel, that looks into the boy and into how she and eames got together...maybe.
