I really like this. Especially the deathly calm and gentle Sylar. &hearts

I was trying something different with him -- I'm glad it worked!

Really liked the tone of this. I loved how you made Sylar sort of gentle with Claire, but still sinister and manipulative. That's my favorite characterization of Sylar.:D

Thanks! I was trying to portray his complexity. He wants her, and there's going to come a time when he learns he can't be violent to win her heart. But, at the same time, he's Sylar and he's sinister and that's how he rolls, so I'm glad to have found sorta balance.

Very good. I like how you portray Sylar. I can still see glimpses of Gabriel in him when he is gentle with her, but the hardness and downright dangerous situation she is in just by being near Sylar. I can feel hi struggle here. It would be so easy for him to force her, but he seems to realize that it won't do him any good. I love this actually. One of the better one shots I have read in a while. You manage to reveal a softness in him without making him whiny.

Awwws, thank you!

I've definitely been thinking about that: about the him forcing her thing. If he could've, he already would have. Plain and simple. Physically, he can. But there's something stopping him from doing that, because he really cares about her.
