Oh my god, how is she so amazing/talented/batshit insane/brilliant/bizarre/compelling/epic? To quote Adam Lambert, this video just melted my brain. Re: Lady Gaga, I flip between finding her brilliant and tiresome, sometimes within minutes. But I'm really looking forward to the inevitable books exploring her work as an artist, and putting it all in context, because sometimes I feel like I'm only getting half the picture.

Hahaha, yes I feel this way sometimes too. I consider myself a huge fan of her work -all of it- and yet sometimes I feel as if I'm not really sure of what she's doing and one day she's going to do a press conference, all "i was only kidding, guys! look how silly you are!"

Either way I think she's taken pop music by its foundations and completely shaken it up, and I love her for it.

DUUUUUUUUDE. They're not all quite as epic, but you must see the video for Paparazzi which youtube isn't letting me embed because it's a douuche, lol. WATCH IT. I think I might love it more than Bad Romance, because it has a three minute intro, a mickey mouse leotard, speaking in Swedish (I think?), DANCING WITH CRUTCHES and Alexander Skarsgård.

I saw some photos of her performing before she adopted the Lady GaGa persona, and she looked oddly like Amy Winehouse. In the face, I mean, and she had dark hair; she didn't look like she'd spent the last three years on a binge.
