Omfg they are crack in chocolate form. Really, really hard to get here and hugely expensive but what the hell. I developed a slight addiction whilst in the US in 06. Haha.

I'm a little scared to listen to that song... I still have unshed tears for Donna Noble :(

Good tears, though! Sort of. It's a bittersweet kind of thing.

Argh. Barack Obama makes me feel conflicted.

I still possess that world-wise cynicism for political matters, especially being in the midst of studying it at school; it's a media fair, based on soundbites and empty statements and attacks and insincerity and a failure of an electoral system (if you're in the UK, anyway). Plus, I've never been to America and am unlikely to in the near future. The election, in a practical sense, doesn't affect me at all.

And yet...he makes me feel hopeful. Whether that's because the alternative isn't nice to think about, is debateable, but I keep being surprised at myself for supporting him to the extent that I do. That shows up the state of American politics, doesn't it; hope is so rare that when it's there, it's abnormal.

So, um, yes. Fantastic pictures, and I get more jittery the closer the election gets.

Sorry for rambling. And being an annoying cynic.

No, I totally agree! Although I am one of the few remaining people with faith in democracy, Barack Obama's simple message of hope and the way he motivates even cynical people is so inspiring. I tend to find cynicism a dangerous thing because it makes way for apathy in that "hey, they're all the same so why bother trying to change" kind of way, and I think the reason Obama is such a revelation to world politics in general is because he has the ability to push aside cynism and make people believe in the political process again. Which makes way for greater political accountability, and that's so so so important.

Hey, now I'm the rambling one! :P

I love that one of him in front of the CHANGE banner.

What point were you arguing about with him? My brother texted me last night all 'Are you watching dr Who? Wow...all the planets are disappearing!' and I said that I'd seen it already but that Donna was all kinds of awesome, no? To which he replied that he preferred Martha himself. (Though for mostly superficial reasons, despite his claims of having onion-skin-like layers...)

Haha, well he liked BWB 2.0, which I have........... many an issue with. And then we got into this hilarious argument about it and whether it was a good ending for Rose. Eventually he gave up because I think he was scared by my emotional investment in the show hahaha.

BWB? I'm guessing you mean Handy, but what does BWB stand for? I kind of like it now, after reading one or two fics where it worked itself out. (Though I'm still inclined towards the idea of Rose becoming a Time Lady and the both of them hanging out and in a time pocket for ages and then regenerating into a Brand New Time-Travellin' Team...) I'm not a Rose/Ten shipper, but I like happy endings...
