I had problems with AOL too. I used it (an e-mail) for almost all stuff I did and then I had to change my e-mail on every single site because I got ALMOST hacked so they blocked my AOL mail! I was really pissed off. My AOL mail is still blocked and I moved to gmail - it's better.
I have a yahoo email that's the same and so I tried making a new account with that one and it went right through. SO I guess the problem really was AOL.
I don't usually remember to check my email unless I'm expecting something specific so I usually have to delete fifty million porn spam emails (at least, I'm assuming they're all for porn but actually they could be anything... I don't open them).
So I guess using the yahoo one will work just fine since I check that about the same number of times LOL. The only thing I check regularly is LJ LOL
AOL isn't the best, they have problems almost every month :/
Haha, I check regularly LJ and my e-mails but only because I want to know about discounts in my favorite shop or if there's something new on some sites (for example fanfiction.net). But I'm mostly getting spam (about dating sites or some weird shops XD) I need to check every day because when I was away for a week, I got about 60-80 mails. A few weeks more and I would have a 'day of deleting e-mails' LOL
I don't know why I check LJ so often when I haven't posted an update in a while but still, can't help it. I guess it's just that you guys are all so awesome (^_^)
Actually, I feel kinda guilty about that... I really need to update.
