Castiel hadn't been ready to return to the 21st century, but hindsight was a fantastic thing. When he'd awoken in the honeymoon suite Dean had placed him in, his only thought was on getting back to his own time, back to the Winchester brothers. "Easy, Cas." Dean had stayed behind when his brother had left, figured he owed Cas that much. The guy had pretty much broken himself for them, and he couldn't find it in him to leave until he knew his friend was going to be alright. Castiel's whole body jerked in surprise as he heard Dean's voices, for some reason having assumed he was alone, eyes slowly fixing on the elder Winchester's face as he came into his vision.

"All night." Dean replied and inched closer, only stopping when his legs were pressed up against the side of the bed. On the plus side, Cas looked a little better than he had before, but any desire to crawl into bed with him was quickly replaced with the fear of hurting him.

"Rest up. We're not leaving for a couple days. I uh... Sam needs time." He didn't say much else past that, nor did he say anything about Michael and how he needed time too. That was a conversation for another time when Cas wasn't as banged up.

Grunting, Castiel closed his eyes again, though it was obvious from the tenseness of his body he hadn't fallen back into unconsciousness.

"I would not blame you," he spoke quietly after a long pause. "If you and Sam left without me."
