I have orange nails.

Well sort of. It's more of a coral color.

Why do I have orange nails you may ask. As I have posted about it about five to ten times in the past that emlovessnoopy and my brother-in-law, Michael, are getting hitched and we're all in the wedding. The bride chose tangerine as her main color so I got my nails done to match what I'm wearing. Hopefully, anyway ( Read more... )

Well we have our quota of crazy feminists in the house but I'm sure we can find room for you when you want to come up, maybe.

Second, Emory is good place for Marfan's. There was also an expert on staff at Northside. The diagnosis usually starts by an eye doctor or heart doctor, those the symptoms that bother people and a smart doctor can catch things. The most dangerous thing, esp. for women with Marfan's, is the dentist. You have to take a SHIT ton anti-biotics because of the bacterial from your teeth is really bad with mitral valve prolapse. Mitral valve prolapse in most cases, mine included, is just annoying not life threatening. It is even less in most cases of women having it, at least according to my doctor but the bacteria problems could really mess you up. The other problem with MVP is the feedback causes to really mess up your emotions, those days aren't fun. Marfan's is usually hereditary though so you shouldn't have much worry about.

Yeah, I have not definitively heard any knowledge of people in my family having it, BUT that doesn't mean it's not there somewhere, since most of the people involved would have been in south Georgia with no specialists around and no money to see them. Some of the physical characteristics seem to be present in me, perhaps by coincidence, but since it's impossible for me to know on my own if I have it, then yeah, I need to get it checked out for sure, particularly given the heart problem possibilities. Thanks for the point about the bacteria -- I knew gum disease in the mouth can lead to heart problems but I didn't think about it in terms of Marfan's.
