If you're a girl, 300 has a lot to offer. It's a bunch of well muscled guys running around in next to nothing. There's also an epic story, really neat visual effects (glowing eyes, freaky mist, great make up, lots of blood spurting out from every wound), the Queen stabs her rapist in front of everybody, and lots of really cool dismemberment shots

My sister used to love the old BSG. That's probably part of the reason I didn't get into this one for a while.
