Not that I've gotten married a ton of times, but the next time I'm in Vegas with Trevor we might get married again. The song I first danced to with Rob was In My Life by The Beatles. I don't think it's possible for me to ever have a momentous event song not by them, LOL.

Our first dance was to "straw man" by David Berkely. He's a singer-songwriter we've seen a million times and we both have always loved the song. Before we actually finalized our decision I emailed David and asked about the song - apparently he was going out with this girl and they broke up and she moved away. He drove halfway across the country to go after her and he wrote the song while sitting outside on the porch of her house waiting for her to come home. It's about knowing when you've made a mistake and being willing to give up everything for someone else (even though lyrically it doesn't neccesarily say that).
We initially wanted our first dance to "In Your Eyes" by Peter Gabriel, but it's just TOO long so instead that's what I walked down the aisle to.

Wow, what a touching back story.

And you're completely right, "In Your Eyes" is far too long for a first dance song.
