I love this stuff. I'm considered a bit "out there" because I think that sometimes we should just take ancient authors at their word. Sure, they mystified lots of stuff and rambled a lot, but they were usually aware of what was going on in their time and what had happened in recent history (yay, oral history). I mean... Troy can't possibly exist. It's all a story! Oh, you found Troy? ...Shit. WE KNEW ALL ALONG IT WAS REAL, I SWEAR!

Though they aren't my academic favorites, the ancient Egyptians were pretty damn nifty. XD

That just totally and completely blew my mind. Next, we really will be finding the Ark and the Holy Grail! I adore history.

I would like to know more about that guy's story. I mean, EVERYONE in the Middle Eastern provinces of the Roman Empire used similar cups for a number of purposes... everything from storing cosmetics to washing fingers during meals, apart from being used as drinking vessels. I want to know EXACTLY why he thinks his is THE Grail. He must have a book, or something...

Isn't it so cool? I love history.

I'm sorta of the opinion that the Ark was destroyed years ago and that we wouldn't recognize the Holy Grail if we were drinking out of it. XD
