Finally growing up, are weIt was very very pretty =) Your prose is very stylish. Some of the phrasing I felt were very innovative. This line, "Japan makes Yunho’s skin crawl like there’s a monster eating Korea," made me shiver X) The historical context makes it particularly striking

Ooooh my god I love that =) The keeping his eyes open thing...It DOES powerfully highlight the need for familiarity, to actually be able to SEE it. Though I think in the last part, the parodying was a little bit unclear (or maybe it was just me). Something like "a playful smile" or "mischievously" or something to indicate he's not being literal would help. =)

But Jaejoong and Yunho hadn't gotten together yet prior to Heechul warning him? I assumed it was something about Jaejoong's personality that made him offer Yunho that kind of advice...Or Heechul knew that Yunho would fall for JJ early on? Now I think maybe Heechul and Jaejoong had something going on or Heechul saw firsthand the kind of damage Jae inflicted on..someone else? *flails* I'm just confusing myself now LOL

Maybe what I was going for was...Jaejoong testing the waters? Like parroting Yunho's words just to see if Yunho really means the kiss. dies I don't know anymore. :|

No, they hadn't, but when Heechul said that he knew what Jaejoong was like, that was kind of his way of hinting at it, I guess? Just warning Yunho that love of any kind wouldn't end well, I guess.
