Thank you so much! I don't know if I'll take this forward... but I can certainly put it in my idea file.

>hope to see more form you soon

:D That's so nice to hear! Of course, you could always check out my previous stories in the meantime, if you haven't yet read them (not to toot my own horn or anything...) :] They're all collected in the front page of this journal.

Again, thanks for the feedback!

Awww so heartbreaking! :( You would wish even more to be able to make them get together, your fic is so alive and intense that it's almost unbearable! So beautiful, so sad.
I wish even more a happy ending to their relationship.

[sniff] Now you've got *me* going, too...

I'm glad this touched you -- thanks for letting me know!

It's all them, really. You just put them together, and you get intensity, one way or the other.

You could almost see this happening. This was incredibly sensual, arousing for what you don't write, making one want this to happen as much as the characters. Not too heavy, but not overly sentimental-they don't profess undying love, but what could be the beginnings of a great romance. I love the spin you put on the story of the Bajoran children; it could have happened that way.

Garak would have had to study up on his Terran physiology to know all the technial terms. Aw, Garak has a bell button. I always thought of the indention on his forehead as their navel. I read that in one of the Avatar books and it stuck with me.

Oh, thanks for this kind and generous feedback! You touched on all the things I strive for -- sensuality without being too graphic, romantic with being overly sentimental. I wish you could see my grin! OK, here -- :D ( ... )

What an amazing and delightful smile you'fe got there! XD

Oh, I totally agree. Everytime someone on ST saids something like "It's only human", "humanoid life", "human nature", I would cry a little. I always want to replace the prhases with, "Sentient nature", "Class Five life-form" and the such.

I wanted more Andorian admirals, Tellarite doctors, and one main character captian to be an alien, even Vulcan, to bring home how very different the future is. I nearly cheered in Homefront when the Prime Minister is not only an alien, but adressess a crowd as 'gentle-beings'. (Oh, dear, did my lefty, PC-side come out? XD )

Er, I meant belly button. That is a typo. *blush* Althoug, I too love collecting new words.

Awww, [blush] (re the smile...)

Yeah, I'm totally with you on the galactic diversity issue! There's a great series of ST novels that begins with "Being Alien" or maybe "Becoming Alien," about a kid from the Ozarks who somehow becomes the only human representative in a Federation-type organization, where Earth is a backwoods, backwards planet not really worth anyone's attention.

> Er, I meant belly button. That is a typo.

Well, then, you've coined a new word, "bell button" for an "outie" belly button! :)

Wow. This is...wow. I always wanted someone to fill in the missing time in the ep, and you have done a wonderful job.

I would love to see this continue. I don't think they would rush into something, but seeds have been planted.

I was wondering how Garak would know what naked humans look like. Not that he wouldn't, but would he have researched the variations, trying to figure out if Julian would be hairy or whatever? I would kind of like to see a fic that mentions that, and of course any human-sex background research Garak conducts, since he's such a thorough investigator...

I got carried away there, but I really loved the language of this story, the imagery, especially in the section about Bajor, and the tension that's always there between Julian's impetuous nature and his professionalism.

Thanks! Oh, I hope I haven't spoiled anything for you... but I don't think so. Nearly all of this is "between the scenes" and I only reference actual stuff in the show a little bit. But go see the ep! It's one of the best Garak episodes ever. Actually, it's one of the best DS9 episodes ever. I only hope you haven't heard all the quotes from it already.

If you want, let me know when you've seen it, and tell me what you thought! :)

I definitely will! We're trying to watch them in order and we're about 3/4ths of the way don with Season 1...so it may take awhile. But I look forward to discussing DS9 as I go...!
