There's only so much even Connor Temple could bottle up inside. He felt it snap and all the anger, frustration and guilt he'd been holding back seemed to explode and he lost it.

This was such a major catharsis for them both, Connor especially. All through the series he's kept himself in check, only acting out when someone he loved was in peril - like when Abby was taken by the mer creatures. No matter how much he loves Abby, he can't be expected to bottle himself up just to be polite. Thankfully Abby recognizes this and knew just what they both needed.

It's been too long since you wrote us a scrummy little bit of smut and it was a glorious read!

Yes, it does seem to take something pretty huge for Connor to finally let go of what he's bottled up. Perhaps now he has a proper outlet, he can explore how to release his tensions in a way that benefits both him and Abby ;)
